HDTV size for my room?
Using a standard definition TV, the standard that viewers will feel comfortable in a single set from a distance of 3.6 times the screen size in inches. With HDTV, the resolution is even better than it feels a big TV without noticing the approach of pixels. So with HDTVs, the rule tends to be everywhere feels 1.5 to 3 times the screen size (inches) for the best experience.
These rules are meant to tell you where to sit on your new TV. See it in other words, you know the size of the part you already have, because when you sit down and when your new TV should even go there. So you need the size of the TV?

If the TV is needed for your room is 40 inches or less, a flat screen TV is your best bet. Between 42 and 60 inches, you can choose between plasma, LCD or rear projection sets.
