Pro tools speaker monitors?
I use pro tools LE 7 and I am trying to hook up speaker monitors to my mbox2 and I CAN’T seem to get it to work correctly!!! I have the correct plugs and attachments and at one point I even got the speakers to work but then they stopped again. Music is coming out of them but it’s very quiet?? SOMEONE HELP PLEASEEEE!!!
I have the monitor level on the mbox2 and on the monitors themselves turned up enough. These are the monitors I’m using http://www.samsontech.com/products/productpage.cfm?prodID=1961
Sounds to me like your speakers don’t have built in amplifiers. You should try buying an amp for them, or at least doing some research and find out if they are self powered.
You can also ask some of the audio geeks at http://www.audioneeds.com – there are quite a few sound engineers there that are helpful, and usually quick to help you solve your problems.
